I’m sure you have heard (or used yourself) the statement, “I don’t have time to journal!” And it may be true, but try these hints that will encourage a slow and fun habit of writing for yourself.
Let’s look at ten hints today.
Start with a favorite pen and notebook. Printer paper or notebook paper stapled together make a good place to write also.
Schedule a time, the same time every day. Morning is a favorite time.
Set an amount of time — one minute, 2 minutes or 5 minutes. Start with short amounts of time.
Find a quiet, special place to journal.
Make your journaling a ritual. Light a candle, make a hot drink, and/or burn incense.
Journaling has no rules. Just write.
There is no right or wrong way to journal. Be judgement free.
Stack your journaling next to another task, such as write as your drink your coffee/tea in the morning, after your exercise, or before your bedtime routine.
Track your journaling in your bullet journal, calendar, or phone.
