Ways to manage dreams.
Talk about them. Describe your dreams to someone you trust. Name the feelings you experienced. Talking about your dreams can often reveal insights which you can then take any needed action.
Keep a nocturnal journal. When you write it integrates the experience and acknowledges the dream. It can also help to highlight any patterns, themes, and commonalities.
Use free writing. Write for 10-15 minutes, unedited, about your moving pictures. Start by making a list of all the aspects that keep repeating. Note any changes or differences.
Rewrite the ending. If you keep having a disturbing dream, change the ending to one that you desire.
Remember the dream you wrote about on Tuesday and rewrite the ending so that it pleases you.
